As Fierce A Survivor

Each one wanting to be the leader,

a flight of seven crow fly wild/crazy 

designs in blue/gray sky
 
 

Their sleek/black

feathers show vividly

 against a background 

of thick cloud cover

and when they set,

against the white

of snow
 
 

Each one caws out

ancient language

forever unchanged

and unflawed as they

fly this nonsense

pattern in sky
 
 

I wish I understood

how they can be such

fierce survivors in a 

world now filled with

so much disarray
 
 

I want to know their secret,

so I too can be as fierce

a survivor

as they
