Buck saunters into
and across the yard
Reminds me of a
John Wayne walk
Not afraid of anything,
yet cautious 

Doe, ballet steps 
into the yard
much ahead of
buck

Bucks, lowers his head
and shows the tips of his 
antlers while taking a 
mouthful of oats

She steps up to 
the trough and
feeds not just for
herself, but for the life 
that grows inside
of her

He eats to 
prove his
bravery
